6B and 6H worked hard writing their leavers' songs with help from Nathan at the Songwriting Charity - here are the music videos to accompany their leavers' tracks.
The Year Six children had taken a long time to plan, market and set up their businesses and yesterday it was time to host the Apprentice Day Market. During the course of the morning, the oldest children sold their products and services to the other children in the school. Overall, the Year Six children made a grand total of £716.67! The winning business were the Brilliant Biscuit Makers who alone raised £149.20 - the highest ever profit made by a single group in Apprentice Day history! Well done! The money raised will go towards the Songwriting Charity, who help the Year Six children compose and record their Leavers' Songs, which will be available on the blog tomorrow! Today, the year six children had celebratory leavers' lunch on their penultimate day of primary school.
The Year Six children had their extra hour at the disco last week to enjoy their Leavers' celebrations...
Our year 6 English team represented the school fantastically this week at the KS2 English Finals in Chelmsford. I was so proud of them as they showed determination throughout but also enjoyed the day.
Well done! This week, we have been working on our collaborative pieces of artwork. For these, we have taken inspiration from David Hockney's bright countryside pieces. To make the task more challenging, we have split our final sketch into three, with each member of the team being given the job of perfecting their 'slice'. |
