This week our SPaG knowledge helped us with our French as we had to think about where in a phrase to add the adjective to describe a noun. We also recapped when and how to use masculine and feminine adjectives which correspond to the nouns correctly.

We've enjoyed participating within District Sports this week. It was a successful day and we were promoted to the next league! This week, we have had Nathan Timothy from songwritingcharity.org working with us to create Leaving Songs- you'll hear these at the end of the year!
Last week, the year 6 finished SATs week with a trip to Hanningfield Reservoir to aid their science, PE and PSHE learning. It was a beautiful day for pond dipping and shelter building. The quiz team have won their semi-final round scoring 149 points and are through to the final after Easter! Well done! This week, we have been doing some active maths, estimating and measuring the mass of objects around the classroom and calculating fractions of numbers on the playground. In our French lesson this week, we learned the names of shops in French and wrote sentences describing their position. As there are new houses planned to be built in Rayleigh, we decided to have a debate so we can get both points of view on the matter and decide whether building them is a good idea or not. Year 6 are continuing to make their CAM toys: sawing, measuring, cutting and scoring to get the mechanism to work. Can you identify some of the famous characters that we dressed up as today? |
